Our screw piles and connection details are fully engineered and locally manufactured to comply with Australian Standards for structural welding. We use a range of drive motors and machines to install varying sizes of screw piles to accommodate loads of up to 1000kN.
We can design and construct reinforced concrete footings and caps for piles. These caps are used to combine multiple screw pile heads for large loads or columns where only smaller piles can be installed. Pile caps and footings can be formed up or cast against the ground.
We construct a variety of different pile diameters and depths using specialised piling gear. Our Engineers can design the foundation to suit the required loads.
We use calibrated gauges, load cells and displacementgauges for all our load testing measurements. It is important to also undertake lateral load testing to ensure the piles are able to resist shear load
from earthquake and wind forces.
We can design and install a retention system for most single basement arrangements. We can also include anchors to reduce deflection when excavating next to sensitive structures. We would use steel screw piles and timber or steel plates in behind to hold back the retained soil.
Steel screw piles and bored piles can be used in a variety of situations to improve the slope stability of existing ground or provide additional strength when excavations are required. Generally, piles are installed and a footing is cast on top linking the piles together and creating a retaining structure. Piles are usually taken to depth well below softer material to gain lateral strength.
We have undertaken a variety of pull over and pull out tests on posts installed for support of solar panels. All our load testing is fully instrumented to provide load and deflection behaviour back to the designers of the solar farms. We’ve completed testing and installation trials throughout New South Wales and Queensland from West Wyalong to Townsville.
